Product Abstract: Known as the Flower Of Flowers, Ylang Ylang is a tall tropical tree approximately 20 meters (60 feet) high, adorned with large, fragrant pink, mauve, or yellow flowers; the yellow varieties are considered the best in quality. Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is extracted in several grades during the flower's prolonged distillation, identified as Extra, I, II, and III, making it particularly suited for the perfumery and skincare industries. In Europe, it became a favored ingredient in haircare products, known as Macassar Oil. This is where the term anti-macassar originated, referring to a cover used to protect upholstery from hair oil stains. In Indonesia, it's a tradition to spread Ylang Ylang flowers on the beds of newlyweds.
