Mara Organics’ Rose Petal Powder captures the delicate aroma and skin‑loving qualities of real rose petals in a finely milled, food‑grade powder. Sourced from carefully dried petals and nothing else, this versatile botanical is gentle enough for daily skincare yet effective enough to include in your weekly hair ritual.

In skincare, the powder acts as a natural exfoliant—its soft texture removes dead skin cells and clears clogged pores, revealing smoother, more radiant skin. The vitamins and antioxidants found in rose petals brighten dull complexions and may help fade hyperpigmentation over time. Unlike harsh chemical toners, rose powder is naturally astringent, helping to control excess oil while soothing sensitive or irritated skin. It is especially prized in Ayurvedic traditions for its cooling, calming properties.

For hair care, rose petal powder can be blended with coconut milk or oils to create a nourishing mask. Regular use helps strengthen hair follicles and promotes healthy growth while adding natural shine. Whether you’re crafting a DIY face mask, a gentle cleanser or a revitalising hair treatment, our rose powder provides a simple way to indulge your senses and care for your skin and hair naturally.

  • 100% pure, chemical‑free rose petals

Benefits for Hair:

  • Strengthens hair – When used in a hair mask, it can strengthen follicles and promote soft, shiny hair.

How to Use:

1.  Nourishing Hair Mask: Combine 2 tablespoons of rose powder with ½ cup of fresh coconut milk and 1 tablespoon of extra‑virgin coconut or olive oil.
Apply to damp hair, massaging from roots to ends. Leave for 30–60 minutes and rinse with a mild shampoo.

2.  Scalp Treatment: Blend rose powder with aloe vera gel or plain water to form a paste.
Massage into the scalp to soothe irritation and improve hair texture; leave for 15–20 minutes before rinsing.

Benefits for Skin:

  • Gentle exfoliation – The powder’s soft, almost silky texture lifts away dead skin cells without scratching the skin.
  • Clarifies and calms – Natural anti‑inflammatory and antibacterial compounds can help relieve minor acne irritation and redness.
  • Brightens and evens tone – Antioxidants and vitamins reduce dullness and may fade hyperpigmentation; however, the powder is not a strong bleaching agent and results vary by skin type and consistency of use.
  • Moisturizes and softens – The natural oils and proteins in rose petals moisturise and leave skin supple.
  • Soothing and cooling – Rose powder has been used in Ayurveda to balance aggravated Pitta and calm the senses, making it suitable for sensitive skin and sun‑related irritation.

How to Use:

1.   Cleansing Paste/Toner: Mix 1 teaspoon of rose powder with enough water, rose water or honey to create a thin paste. Apply evenly over your face and neck and rinse after 10–15 minutes. Use up to three times a week.

2.   Face Mask: For oily skin, blend 1 tablespoon of powder with 2 tablespoons of plain yoghurt. For dry skin, mix with milk cream.
Apply to clean skin, leave on for 15 minutes and rinse with cool water.

3.   Spot Treatment: Make a thick paste with a few drops of rose water and apply directly to blemishes or dark spots; rinse after 15 minutes.

  • Patch test: Natural products may cause allergic reactions. Perform a patch test on the inner arm before full application.
  • Not a medical treatment: While rose powder has anti‑inflammatory and antibacterial qualities, it should not be regarded as a cure for skin diseases.
  • The VedaOils article notes that the powder may lighten dark spots and brighten skin, but it is not a strong bleaching agent and results depend on skin type and consistency of use.
  • Storage: Keep the powder in an airtight container away from direct sunlight and moisture to preserve its scent and potency.
