Ayurveda is an ancient practice of self-care and medicine originating in India over 3,000 years ago. The Ayurvedic regimens for hair care are well-known techniques to help grow healthy, long hair. Ayurveda is a natural hair care treatment and does not involve the use of any harmful or unnatural substances.

Our Ayurvedic hair kit is a collection of products that makes wash day a joy.

Our Ayurvedic hair kit is designed to last for three months (or 12 wash days). It includes five products that guide you through the process of pre-pooing, strengthening, conditioning, moisturizing, and sealing.

What’s in the box:

  • 100g of Amla powder
  • 100g of Shikakai powder
  • 120g of Nupur Henna
  • 100g of Aloe vera powder
  • 120ml of Ayurvedic oil

Directions:

Hair Mask: Mix 1 tbsp. each of Amla powder, Shikakai powder, Nupur Henna, and Aloe vera powder with hot water to make a paste. Add your favorite conditioner or ingredients like avocado or coconut milk until it reaches the consistency of blended baby food. Apply liberally to freshly washed hair, cover with a shower cap for at least an hour, then rinse thoroughly with cool water. Wash once or twice with conditioner to ensure all ingredients are removed from your hair. Style as usual.

Tea Rinse: Brew one teaspoon of Shikakai like a normal cup of tea. Pour tea water into a spray bottle and spray daily on the scalp, mist curls to refresh. Keep the spray bottle in the refrigerator. Brew a new batch of tea water every week. It can also be used to mist hair to set braids or twists.

Cleanser: Begin with thoroughly wet hair. Section hair into six. Add two tablespoons of Shikakai paste to an applicator bottle. Fill the bottle with warm water all the way to the top. Shake the bottle until the powder has thoroughly dissolved. Apply the soapy water directly onto your hair from scalp to ends in a combing motion. Cover each section of your hair. Gently massage scalp and hair, adding more water as needed, until a good lather forms.

To prevent tangles, always work from the top down, do not pile your hair on your head, and use your fingers like a comb. It is crucial to build up a good lather on your head to avoid patches of cleanser left on your hair. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat if desired.

Oil: Section dry hair into six. Apply 1-2 teaspoons of oil on the scalp, (if you have split ends, saturate with oil) using fingertips or a comb to evenly distribute the oil. Massage each section for 3 minutes using fingertips or a massager. Cover hair with a plastic cap. Leave on for 30 minutes. Shampoo, apply hair mask, condition, and style as usual.

Oil can also be used in a daily style routine.
